Graham Norton will be joined by longtime presentation partner Maria McErlane when he switches to Virgin Radio after leaving Radio 2.
The 63-year-old actress and comedian has appeared on the talk show’s host program since 2011 and is known for co-hosting the Aunt Agony segment of Grill Graham.
She has also replaced Norton, 57, as a presenter on several occasions and together they have hosted guests including Kylie Minogue, JK Rowling, David Tennant and Tina Turner.
She said: “Delighted to join Graham Norton on his new weekend shows and look forward to tackling any issues Virgin Radio listeners choose to pose to us.”
Norton said, “Maria is amazing and the show just wouldn’t be complete without her. We’ll be there with all the best celebrity talk and all our usual antics broadcast from our shiny new home on Virgin Radio.
The couple worked together on the ITV Carnal Knowledge quiz show, which featured two couples who were asked personal questions about their sex lives. It was released in 1996.
Norton is joining Virgin Radio as weekend host next year, following in the footsteps of former Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans.
Norton joined Radio 2 in 2010 to host the 10am to 1pm Saturday slot, succeeding Jonathan Ross.
